Islamabad is the natural launchpad for the Kaghan Valley — at 230 km and 5–6 hours' drive, Naran is close enough that our group coasters leave the capital at dawn and have you at a riverside lunch by early afternoon. As an Islamabad-based operator (Office 2, Anaya Arcade, DHA Phase 1), this is our home route: we run it more than any other, with hotel and doorstep pickups across Islamabad and Rawalpindi on every departure.

Group tours from Islamabad start at Rs. 12,500 per person for the 3-day classic — transport, hotel, the Saif ul Malook jeep safari and guide included — while private family cars, honeymoon packages and luxury SUV itineraries depart on any date you choose.

The Route in Detail

The route is the best in the north: Hazara Motorway (M-15) from Burhan interchange sweeps past Haripur, Havelian and Abbottabad to Mansehra in under two hours; the N-15 then follows the Kunhar River through Balakot (fuel/ATM stop), the Kiwai waterfall break, and Kaghan town to Naran. The whole road is paved; the only slow section is weekend traffic between Kiwai and Naran in July–August. Dawn departures (6–7 AM) beat both the traffic and the afternoon valley clouds.

FAQ

Naran Tour Packages from Islamabad 2026 — FAQ

About 5 to 6 hours for the 230 km: under two hours on the Hazara Motorway to Mansehra, then 3–4 hours on the N-15 valley road through Balakot and Kaghan. Summer weekend traffic between Kiwai and Naran can add an hour.

From your home or hotel across Islamabad and Rawalpindi — doorstep pickup is included in every package. Group coasters also stage from central meeting points announced with your booking confirmation.

Group tours start at Rs. 12,500 per person for 3 days (transport, hotel, Saif ul Malook jeep and guide included). Private family tours run from about Rs. 19,500 per person, honeymoon packages from Rs. 24,500, and luxury private trips from Rs. 75,000.

Group departures roll out between 6 and 7 AM to clear the motorway early and reach Naran by mid-afternoon. Private tours choose their own hour — we still recommend dawn for traffic and views.

Yes — motorway to Mansehra and a paved N-15 the rest of the way. The only unpaved driving on a standard trip is the Saif ul Malook jeep track, which is done in local 4×4s included in your package.

We do not recommend it — 11–12 hours of driving would bracket a rushed hour at the lake. The 3-day package is the honest minimum; even a 2-day Shogran weekend beats a Naran day-dash.

Yes — group departures run Fridays and Mondays through the season with extra dates in July–August, and private tours depart any day. Weekday trips enjoy visibly quieter roads and lakeshores.

Breakfast around Abbottabad or Mansehra, the fuel/ATM stop in Balakot, and the classic chai break at Kiwai Waterfall. Our itineraries build these in so families never go three hours without a stretch.

Yes for confident drivers — paved throughout with fuel at Balakot, Kaghan and Naran. Respect mountain-road etiquette after Balakot, avoid night driving in the valley, and note the last fuel is Naran if you continue toward Babusar.

Absolutely — Rawalpindi pickups are part of the same route. Saddar, Bahria and DHA pickups are the most common; tell us your location when booking.

The 4-day package is the sweet spot: Saif ul Malook at dawn, Babusar Top and Lulusar, plus Shogran/Siri Paye, without the rush of the 3-day. Families with young children often prefer the same route over 5 days.

Private tours include child seats on request at no charge. On group coasters we seat families together and never seat unrelated males beside solo female travellers — tell us your group makeup when booking.
