Three of northern Pakistan's headline regions in a single continuous loop: this is the tour for travellers who've decided one big trip beats three smaller ones, and who have the week to make it happen properly. Naran, Hunza, and Skardu, sequenced so the drive itself becomes part of the experience rather than dead time between destinations.
The route opens with Naran's essentials before the long, scenic push north over Babusar Pass onto the Karakoram Highway toward Hunza, where Attabad Lake, Baltit Fort and Karimabad's bazaar get real time rather than a rushed afternoon. From Hunza the route continues toward Skardu — the gateway to K2 and the wider Karakoram giants — with time for the region's turquoise lakes and its stark, high-altitude scenery unlike anything in the Kaghan Valley itself. Seven days means each region gets its proper due rather than a highlight-reel drive-through.
This is our flagship premium itinerary, run entirely on private vehicles with the valley's better hotels throughout, because the distances involved — genuinely hundreds of kilometres between each region — leave no honest room for a budget shared-coaster version. It suits experienced northern-Pakistan travellers checking off the complete circuit in one deliberate trip, and it's the tour people describe afterward as "the whole north in one go." Seven days sounds long until you're mapping the actual distance between Naran, Hunza and Skardu — at that point, it starts to look like the minimum, not the maximum. Given the scale of this itinerary, we recommend booking at least three weeks ahead during peak summer months, and we discuss realistic daily driving times honestly at booking rather than understating how demanding this circuit genuinely is. Physical fitness requirements are modest for this itinerary despite its scale, since it remains entirely vehicle-based rather than requiring any trekking on foot.
