Naran sits at 2,409 m in the Kaghan Valley, so its season is short and dramatic. Here is what to expect month by month.
Naran Weather by Month
| Months | Day / Night Temp | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| April–May | About 15°C / 4°C | Lower valley and Shogran may be accessible; Naran opening depends on snow clearance |
| June | About 20°C / 8°C | Peak season begins; Babusar access depends on official clearance |
| July–August | About 25°C / 11°C | Full summer season, with busy weekends and possible monsoon disruption |
| September–October | About 18°C / 5°C | Quieter conditions; upper routes close after early snow |
| November–March | Below freezing in Naran | Naran is normally inaccessible by road; lower-valley access varies |
Best Time to Visit
Late June through September is normally the best period for the full upper valley. Saif ul Malook and Babusar access can still change after rain, landslides or snow; check official road status shortly before travel. Late September is often quieter but carries greater early-snow risk.
