Ansoo Lake sits at 4,245 metres — the highest lake in Kaghan Valley. Named after the Urdu word 'ansoo' (teardrop) because its shape is that of a perfect teardrop when viewed from the surrounding ridges.
The trek begins near Lake Saif ul Malook (3,224m) and climbs more than 1,000 metres through alpine meadow, boulder fields and seasonal snowfields. A mandatory local guide is required. Acclimatize in Naran 1–2 days before attempting this trek.
